Walking the Path to Dr. King’s ‘Beloved Community’ | 6th Annual MLK Jr. Day Celebration

People of all ages from around the region were invited to to the 6th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration, a free event taking place on Monday, January 15th.

This year’s theme was “Walking the Path to Dr. King’s Beloved Community” and featured an interview with principal and founder of Brick and Story, LaToya Thomas. Ms. Thomas then led small group discussions with attendees centered around this year’s theme. Children were invited to participate as well in a dedicated children’s program led by Westborough resident and children’s author, Dr. Wednesday Boateng in collaboration with WHS Black Student Union.

The event was sponsored by the Westborough Cultural Council, Westborough Connects, Westborough Public Schools, Westborough Interfaith Association, and Central Massachusetts Connections in Faith.
