Holly Carew – Gold Award Project

For her Girl Scout Gold Award project, WHS senior Holly Carew worked with a fantastic organization, In Your Shoes Westborough, to create and manage a clothing drive to contribute to a Community Clothing Closet this fall. The group collected gently used coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots and new underwear and socks for those in need who live and work in Westborough. Donation bins were located in most churches and schools in town and the group collected over 350(!) coats in addition to many other needed clothes. It was a huge success and residents should plan to save their clothes again next year as In Your Shoes plans to sponsor this clothing drive again next fall.
