Do you know what animal has been known to travel as far as 900 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the mountains of Idaho, climbing nearly 7,000 feet, once in their lifetime? That animal is called salmon. If you knew that, perhaps next year you should join one of the 108 people who make up the 36 teams to compete in the Ed Foundation’s annual Trivia Bee.
Don’t worry – if you missed this year’s event, or if you were on a team and you just want to re-watch and hear the questions that stumped you, Westborough TV recorded the entire event and it is available here for viewing.
The Westborough Education Foundation pulled off another great evening of fun marking their 10th Annual Trivia Bee on Monday evening, November 6th, 2017! This year the WEF awarded $21,170 to support grants for educators in all 6 K-12 Westborough Schools. Their purpose is to establish a permanent fund to support grant awards for innovative initiatives that are above and beyond the base curriculum requirements and are outside the scope of the Westborough School Department’s budget. Through these events, the WEF has provided over $375,000 in grants over their 20 year history.
