WHS RecBall Champions & All Stars (with 3-pt Contest!)

Westborough RecBall wrapped up the high school basketball season last week, with both the WHS RecBall Championship Game – Robinson (Bistro) vs Barry (Lions Club) – and the WHS RecBall All-Star Game which included a 3-point shooting contest that raised $1800 for the High School field renovation project.  For the high school boys, Team Robinson took home the honors this year with a 65-58 victory over Team Barry.  In the All-Star game, it was Team Logan (Red) for the win over Team Chris (White).

Special recognition and thanks to Scott Morin and Ranger Nation for their work hosting the 3 Pt Contest and All Star Game.  Also to WHS’s Broadcast Journalism students for the fan/coach/player interviews and to Quinn Donovan and Will Schiffman who provided play-by-play and color commentary for the All Star game.

Congratulations to all the teams and players and thanks to the coaches for another great year, one in which there were over 160 high school players out on the courts!  Great work by Westborough Recreation for the podcasts throughout the season and for commentary on the championship games!  And lastly thanks to Anthony Casparriello who filmed and edited almost all of our RecBall games this season.  (Although we were a little disappointed in him not winning the 3-point contest.)
