Westborough TV has received a treasured piece of Westborough town history. A film was made in 1967 of Westborough celebrating its 250th year. Parades, concerts, field games, a fireman’s muster, a massive bonfire… even a speed boat race on Lake Chauncy. We have converted the film into a format all can enjoy with music to match.
The Westborough Public Library will be screening this gem on Monday, January 25th at 7:00 PM. Please come experience this peek into our past! If you can’t make the showing, Westborough TV will be broadcasting this film in February or you can watch On Demand anytime by clicking the link below:
Westborough’s 250th Celebration.
Who will you recognize?
BONUS… we have also acquired some audio recordings from 1967; Westborough High School Stage Band and the 250th Anniversary Chorus were recorded on actual LPs (vinyl records). Since the film is “silent”, we have added the music to the film.
