One thing is for sure – the Hastings Elementary School staff is missing their students! So, on April 1, 2020, they decided to hit the road with decorated cars, and parade through town to greet students. With help from the Westborough Police and Fire Departments, the staff drove through neighborhoods, greeting many waving students, families and other Westborough residents who came outside their own homes holding signs that read “We miss you!” and “Thank you!” It was a heartwarming morning of smiles and a few bittersweet tears, with schools having been closed for over two weeks and not currently due to open again until May 4th due to coronavirus concerns.
