Following a public meeting with 3 finalists tonight (Jan 23, 2018), the Westborough Board of Selectmen unanimously (5-0) appointed Uxbridge Police Chief Jeffrey Lourie to be Westborough’s next Police Chief following the January 31st retirement of longtime Chief Alan Gordon. Mr. Lourie thanked the committee for the opportunity and said he will “do his very best to make [the Board] proud.” The appointment is contingent on successful contract negotiations, completion of physical and mental exam, and background check.
