A large group gathered on the morning of July 31st, 2021 for a special re-dedication ceremony for the Captain Michael Haskell Memorial. The memorial is located in front of the Forbes Building and has a new granite base to honor the fallen hero from Westborough. Captain Haskell was a Vietnam War veteran who died during the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing. Watch the full ceremony here. Saturday’s ceremony included speeches by Veterans Advisory Board member Andy Toorock (USMC), Warren Griffin (National Junior Vice-Commandant of the Marine Corps League) and Dr. F. Javier Cevallos, (President of Framingham State University Michael’s alma mater.)
