On this May 4th, we join in on the celebration of International Firefighters’ Day with this video highlighting the recent interactive educational experience for state and local officials hosted by our amazing Westborough Fire Department. Firefighters and invited officials used a vacant structure to demonstrate and perform tactics and strategies of structural firefighting, performed vehicle extrication, and experienced wearing turnout gear and breathing apparatus in a smoke filled room. It was an eye-opening hands on experience for many local and state officials.
