Recently the Westborough Economic Development Committee held their annual award event. The EDC has recognized the Art and Frame Emporium with the Civic Pride award. The Art and Frame Emporium has been a staple in the Westborough Business community for the past 40 years. Not only has Ed Turner worked there for the past 35 years, but 10 years ago he purchased the business and continues to expand its offerings and involvement in the community. With the expansion of their current footprint, Ed will be creating an environment for artists to showcase their work and socialize in an artistic community. In addition, Ed has and continues to work with Westborough officials on restoring, framing and hanging old historical photos in town owned properties such as the recently renovated Town Hall, Fire Station and the Forbes Municipal Building where we are enjoying this event today. Lastly, people may not realize that Ed helped to design of Westborough’s street sign logo that is still used today. And that is why this year we are so excited to give the Civic Pride Award to The Art and Frame Emporium. Watch their award video here.
