300th Anniversary Kicks Off!

The Grand Opening of the 1717 Shoppe and the official kick-off of Westborough’s celebration of its 300th Birthday began on Sunday evening at an event attended by several state and town officials and many Westborough residents who got to enjoy a glass of wine, champagne or beer in their free 300th wine glass; cheese, hors d’oeuvres and cake; plus musical entertainment and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The 300th Committee was very pleased with the success of the fundraising event which helps support the many 300th events coming up this year including the fireworks on June 10th and the parade (September 10th.)  Watch the full-length version of the Kickoff Event here which includes the speeches, thank you’s, and a group singing of Luanne Crosby’s Hundredth Song!
